What this section addresses are projects that take their starting point in the (versatile) South-East-North\/West framework and reflect on its violent histories of imperialism, colonialism, racialized capitalism, and ongoing coloniality in relation to gender and sexuality. In this context, queerness, transition, and migration are processes that challenge simplified categorizations and oppositions, such as North and South, hetero and homo, cis and trans, capitalist and socialist. It seems more interesting how and to what extent hybrid and multicultural origins and affiliations blur the exclusionary and normative boundaries between South-East-North-West.
