The Law for Equity, Respect and Rights in Sex Work (SAG) is the title of a draft of a Sex Work Act for Germany, which resulted of a workshop series with sex workers, and is available now for political debate! You can also find it online at:

With this draft, we are opening the political debate that is due to take place with the legally required evaluation of the current German Prostitutes Protection Act (ProstSchG). The 36-page reader makes a contribution that is geared towards legal equality, intersectional equity and social participation, improving the living and working conditions of sex workers as well as destigmatization and respect.

The Law for Equity, Respect and Rights in Sex Work (SAG) will be officially launched on June 2, 2025, International Sex Workers’ Day, 11 am at 12- Apostel-Kirche, An der Apostelkirche 1, 10783 Berlin.

An initiative of SMART Berlin in cooperation with other projects of self-organization of sex workers, funded by the Federal Association of Sexual Services (bufas e.V.). The workshop series was moderated by Dr. Antke A. Engel, Institute for Queer Theory (iQt Berlin).
