The current Civil Status Law in Germany, knows four options (no entry, diverse, female, male), but still lacks an egalitarian access to changing or resigning from legal sex_gender designations. In 2022 a widely criticized and unconstitutional so called Transsexual Law is still in force. The implementation of a Self-determination Law has been postponed again, although drafts are around since 2019.
